@followtaproot hit the stage to close out the evening, opening with “Smile” the first track from their 2000 debut release, Gift. @playboymanbaby delivered a fantastic set. The band was tight and the songs were fun. I have to hand it to @cybertronicband, to the drummer in particular; their ability to be dressed as full fledged transformers but still play a killer set is a testament to their skill in and of itself. The stage, transformed into a circus tent, glowed red as a voiceover introduced us to @officialmacsabbath before the curtain fell to reveal Slayer MacCheeze, Grimalice, and the Catburglar. The crowd, dressed to the nines in frog hats and frog onesies galore, celebrated @lesclaypoolsfrogbrigade’s triumphant return as the band took the stage and launched into “Thela Hun Ginjeet.” @nefariant commanded the audience from the moment they stepped foot on the stage, their gothic ferociousness drawing the fans into the darkness as the band delivered a dynamic set of passionate anthems. The sold out audience stood up from their seats as the house lights went down and cheered wildly as @freaks4live took the stage. @alluvial opened the evening with the most brutal set of the night. They packed a hell of a lot of heaviness into a 30-minute slot, playing tunes from their 2021 album, Sarcoma, and offering a preview of their forthcoming EP, Death Is But A Door, with “Bog Dweller” and “Fogbelt.” Opening with “Mnemonic,” the title track from @aaronintervals forthcoming new album, Intervals tore through a career-spanning setlist of killer instrumentals that highlighted the members’ technical prowess.
